The Generator Blog

From the Blog: "This blog is not about those machines used to change mechanical energy into electrical energy. It's about software that creates software. Software to play around and have fun with."

Whether you want to generate an academy award acceptance speach, a movie plot, or a Zen koan, this blog is there to help. With the links to dozens -- probably hundreds, but I'm not counting them all -- of generators featured, including sample "generations", The Generator Blog will provide you with hours of entertainment, if not usefulness.

Why The Blog Blog?

Well... because I wanted to give blogger beta a test run, and I have so many damned blogs that I already have trouble coming up with content for, I wasn't sure what I should blog about. So I decided to blog about blogs! I'm sure I'm not the first who's thought of doing this. But anyway... to start things off, I'm gonna give you a run down of my own blogs. After this point, I will be covering other blogs that I come across and find interesting.

  • Smoke Rings in the Dark -- This is my first, and probably most active, blog. It contains various types of posts: journal-type, commentaries, movies and quotes I've come across while surfing the net, etc. Basically, anything that wouldn't belong on any of my other blogs goes on this one... and that turns out being most things.
  • The Cheese Box -- My second blog, that I created during an attempt to quit smoking, and was planning on it being a replacement for Smoke Rings, since as a non-smoker, a title referrencing smoking no longer seemed suitable. It was named in honor of the cheese box that my mother always kept her writings in. However, since my quitting smoking has been a back and forth issue for me (I'm currently in the quitting phase again), I never completely replaced Smoke Rings with Cheese Box. I now use Cheese Box mostly as a devotion to my mother, and to just write... stuff... the type of stuff in my mother's cheese box.
  • Faces -- A blog devoted exclusively to interesting faces I come across on the web
  • Neat Feet -- Similar to my faces blog, but this one's about feet
  • Cum Bubbles and Hippo Clits -- A blog I created in honor of my dear friend Fox, which includes various quotes of hers.
  • Again... Nonsense -- Yeah... this blog is really just devoted to nonsense. I mean, I just start typing and follow a stream of consciousness and what ever comes out, comes out.
  • Dante -- This is a blog showing various conversations I've had with a particular chat bot named Dante. It seemed like a great idea when I started the blog, but I'm finding very few convos worth blogging. That said, I might have to just pick out certain interesting quotes or bits of convos to post.
All of the above mentioned blogs are blogger/blogspot blogs. (lotta blogs in that sentence lol) So now for the other blogs I have scattered throughout the web:
  • My Yahoo 360 -- As most of my activity on Yahoo involves the lesbian community, I pretty much have started limiting my 360 posts to LGBT issues.
  • My Live Space -- I mostly just use this to keep my old MSN friends up to date on what's happening... or not happening... in my life.
  • My MySpace --I'll post something on my MySpace blog if I have something to say that I think my MySpace friends might care about. Or to just take up space so I have something in my MySpace blog lol.
  • My Mindsay -- This is the newest of my blogs, as I just discovered the site. I really have no idea what I'll be blogging about, yet. But as it's also a bit of a social networking site, I'm thinking that'll somehow factor in to what I decide to blog about.
That's the run down of my "blogs". I do also have journals on OkCupid and Shoe.org, but as I'm rarely on either of those sites, they might as well be non-existent. I'm thinking about just putting links to my other blogs on them. And of course I have to mention my Stumble blog. But if we want to consider it a blog, then I'd have to retract my earlier statement about Smoke Rings in the Dark being my first blog. I was on StumbleUpon before I was on Blogger.
