Firefox Facts is a great blog for all Firefox enthusiasts, containing all sorts of neat little tips and tweaks.
Lansing Photo is a nice photo blog created by an apparently recent implant to the Lansing area. We'll forgive him for having lived in cough Ann Arbor cough. While I'm not going to steal any of the pics from the blog, and instead insist that you visit it yourself, I will steal some of the words from the introductory post :
Circumstances (a wife in veterinary school at MSU) forced a change of location, and I found myself in the state capital. I quickly found much to photograph and much to remind me of Ypsilanti. The people, the decaying grand architecture, the surrounding farms. What I had, and still have, a hard time finding is a group of people, a community, to share my passion with. So I'm creating this space to try to bring together people in the area who love Lansing, and love photography. Heck, loving Lansing is optional. Let's just fill this void, and come together to create something new, something this area lacks and sorely needs.
Mash Blog is the official blog for yahoo mash, filling you in on updates, tips and tricks, secret settings and the latest modules for yahoo's new mash beta profiles. If you're not familiar with mash yet, back on September 30th I wrote an article about it on my Smoke Rings blog that you can check out. It was by invite only, and I assume it still is. If so, I'll give anyone an invite that desires one.
Mother Tongue Annoyances is a nice blog for those interested in linguistics and language (specifically, the English language). From the origin of the word honking as an adjectival intensifier to strange business names and construction signs with poor grammar, Mother Tongue Annoyances covers pretty much every kind of peculiarity there is in the regular usage of the English language by native speakers. It even touches on a few examples of one of my favorite linguistic phenomenon -- the eggcorn.
The Mahablog is an excellent left-wing political blog which declares itself to be the "Home blog of the American Resistance". It is written by Barbara O'Brien, who in addition to being a blogger is also a blogging advocate and the author of the book Blogging America: Political Discourse in a Digital Nation. If you consider yourself to be right-wing/ conservative/ fundamentalist/ part of the Moral "Majority"/ pro-war in Iraq, you won't like this blog. I encourage you to read it anyway.
